Job summary

Milhouse Engineering and Construction, Inc. is seeking a Project Accountant II to oversee the full financial lifecycle of complex projects. You will partner with Project Managers and Finance leadership to ensure accurate planning, monitoring, and execution of project financials from initiation through closeout.

The role requires expertise in project accounting, contract management, and financial analysis, with strong communication and leadership skills to drive profitability and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a business-related field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in project accounting.
• Experience leading financial planning for large-scale projects.
• Strong knowledge of contract management and financial analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead project setup and financial structuring for assigned projects.
• Prepare invoices for all projects on monthly, interim and milestone basis.
• Review and approve invoices; ensure billing accuracy across cycles.
• Act as primary liaison between finance, project teams, and leadership.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, forecasts, and earned value metrics.
• Mentor junior staff and drive project governance processes.
• Identify risks and opportunities impacting profitability and compliance.
