Job summary

Jobtailor in the United States is seeking an experienced Project Accountant to support project financial reporting, invoicing, and compliance. You will coordinate project setup, review contract requirements, and monitor schedules and budgets to ensure timely billing.

The role requires 3+ years in accounting, strong Excel skills, and experience with accounts receivable and general ledger processes. The position is based out of a Foth office in Wisconsin, Iowa, or South Dakota.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in accounting, including invoicing and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and VLOOKUPs.
• Experience with accounts receivable, general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, month-end or period-end close processes, or financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Provide project financial reporting support and consultation to Project Managers and Business Unit Accountants
• Coordinate project setup by reviewing contract requirements and establishing projects in the ERP system
• Maintain understanding of client-specific standards, processes, and expectations for invoicing and compliance
• Monitor and analyze project schedules and budgets
• Monitor supplier invoices and assist with purchase order management
• Process and submit client invoices accurately and on time through varied delivery methods
• Work with project team members to ensure timely billing and payment receipt within contract terms
• Process payment vouchers, employee expense reports, and project assignment requests
• Prepare, review, and distribute financial reports
• Assist with cost estimates for client proposals and project pursuits
• Provide administrative, accounting, and project support services as needed
