Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced accounting professional in Columbus to manage invoicing, project budgeting, and contract administration. You will work closely with Project Managers and Principals to ensure accurate financial data and timely reporting, while maintaining contract files and leveraging Deltek Vantagepoint for project setup.

The role emphasizes independent work, strong communication, and meticulous attention to detail in a construction or professional services environment.

Qualifications

• Accounting or Finance degree preferred.
• 3+ years accounting experience; Architecture or Engineering preferred.
• Construction or professional service firm experience considered.
• Proficiency with accounting software, Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint, Excel and Word.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Detail-oriented, problem-solving mindset.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Invoicing in compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
• Maintain contract information and accurate client/subcontractor files.
• Assist Project Managers and Principals with project budgets and contract data.
• Set up and maintain projects in Deltek Vantagepoint.
• Track monthly invoices, change orders, and AR/AP with PMs.
• Visit other offices as needed for project tracking.
• Collaborate with clients’ and subcontractors’ accounting departments.
• Perform accounts payable and unit entry tasks.
