WSP Global Inc. is seeking an Intermediate Project Financial Advisor in the United States to support the Earth and Environment business line.

The PFA acts as a trusted partner to Project Managers, driving profitability, forecasting accuracy, and overall financial performance across a portfolio of projects. The role emphasizes disciplined financial stewardship, margin analysis, and risk identification, advising on planning, subcontract financials, and contract alignment to ensure sound

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years in project or commercial finance within engineering, construction, or professional services.
• Relevant accounting/finance/business qualifications for jurisdiction.
• Proficiency in project target performance tracking and project-based accounting.
• Strong grasp of project accounting, forecasting (EAC/ETC), and margin analysis.
• Experience with project integration, contracts, WIP, and revenue recognition.
• Experience forecasting for multi-project portfolios with reporting accountability.
• Advanced Excel skills; MS Office and ERP tools (Oracle preferred).
• PowerBI or data visualization experience is advantageous.
• Self-starter, able to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong planning, prioritization, and time management; excellent communication.
• Ability to influence delivery and finance leadership with actionable insights.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to apply subject matter to data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial partnering to Project Managers, ensuring contractual and financial integrity.
• Assist with project setup, WBS development, budgeting, rate selection, and pricing inputs.
• Advise on financial planning, risk identification, and margin optimization.
• Review labor structures and rate mechanics to improve project recoverability.
• Oversee funding, billing methods, and subcontractor invoicing in line with contracts.
• Monitor revenue recognition, CAMs, and project controls in PPM data.
• Support audits, sensitive financial requests, and regulatory responses as needed.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Controllership, and operations to drive performance.
• Contribute to project closeout guidance and contract compliance.
