Job summary

BMO Harris Bank is seeking a Project Finance Analyst to support origination and execution of complex lending transactions across power, infrastructure and energy sectors in New York. You will work closely with senior professionals to prepare credit submissions, perform scenarios, and assist in closing processes.

The role requires strong Excel modeling, attention to detail, and the ability to work under tight deadlines in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in business, finance/accounting or economics.
• Financial services experience analyzing large corporate, commercial or project finance credit risk.
• Project finance experience and financial modeling proficiency.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to present complex information clearly.
• Self-starter who can work independently and in a team.
• Proactive and accountable with team needs awareness.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Knowledge of AI to drive efficiency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Understand the construction, operational, and financing inputs to the project financial model.
• Support and eventually lead project financing transactions through to closing.
• Credit analysis, risk and return analysis, due diligence, and reviewing contracts.
• Coordinate with credit and operations teams from origination through closing and funding.
• AML/KYC and client onboarding activities and coordination.
• Prepare credit submissions for internal and external stakeholders.
• Summarize diligence materials to identify risks and mitigants.
• Run internal return models and capital committee memos.
• Manage virtual data room (VDR) and documentation coordination.
