Job summary

BMO U.S. is seeking a highly capable professional to support the origination and structuring of project finance and structured lending transactions across energy, infrastructure, and digital sectors.

The role emphasizes working with senior professionals on business development and execution in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You will assist in credit submissions, diligence, and model explanations, while coordinating with credit and operations teams to ensure timely closings.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in business, finance/accounting, economics with outstanding academic achievement.
• Financial services experience analyzing large corporate, commercial or project finance credit risk.
• Project finance experience and financial modelling proficiency.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-starter who can learn quickly and work independently or in a team.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word; AI knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Understand construction, operating, and financing inputs to the project financial model.
• Prepare and explain credit scenarios, key metrics, and outputs.
• Support and lead aspects of project financing through to closing.
• Conduct credit analysis, risk and return analyses, and due diligence.
• Coordinate with credit, legal, and operations teams from origination through closing.
• Assist in preparing credit submissions for internal and external stakeholders.
• Summarize diligence materials to identify risks and mitigants.
• Run internal return models and capital committee memos.
