Job summary

KBRA is seeking an Analyst or Senior Analyst to join its Project Finance & Infrastructure Ratings team in New York. You will support rating assignments, surveillance, and financial modeling across energy, transportation, and infrastructure sectors, collaborating with senior staff and market participants.

The role requires a quantitative background, Excel and financial modeling skills, and a proactive approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Business, or another field requiring strong quantitative and analytical skills.
• 0–3 years of relevant experience in project finance, infrastructure finance, credit analysis, banking, investing, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of, or demonstrated interest in, infrastructure and project finance credit analysis.
• Ability to work as an integral part of a highly collaborative team and across disciplines in a challenging and dynamic environment.
• Ability to manage time and resources and multiple analytical assignments in a fast-growing company.
• Demonstrated ability to write clearly and concisely.
• Extremely high attention to detail.
• Progress toward the CFA designation or other relevant professional qualifications is a plus.
• Familiarity with Generative AI tools such as ChatGPT for research, data insights, and general productivity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support new rating assignments and ongoing surveillance across project finance and infrastructure sectors, including energy and power, transportation, digital infrastructure, and social infrastructure.
• Review project finance models and perform base case, sensitivity, and downside stress analyses to evaluate debt service capacity and credit risks.
• Support quantitative and qualitative analysis for credit memos and publications.
• Develop and maintain financial models, analytical tools, spreadsheets, and other data used in the ratings and surveillance process.
• Monitor portfolio performance, update key credit factors, and identify emerging risks and trends across rated project finance and infrastructure transactions.
