Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Finance Analyst to support project accounting and finance activities on projects ranging from $1 million to $4 billion. The role focuses on cost control, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and compliance, with involvement in the month-end close and preparing a financial reporting package for project management.

Located in the Bridge & Marine District, this entry-level role requires a Bachelor's degree and 0–2 years of experience.

Qualifications

  • 0-2 years' financial/data analysis experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business Management, or equivalent.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 or above.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Experience with Pivot Tables and V-Lookups is preferred.
  • Must be able to travel and relocate initially and throughout your career as business requires.

Responsibilities

  • Recognizes the importance of being a team player by adapting to project needs and helping in other areas as needed.
  • Fosters relationships with the Operations team and shows a willingness to learn about the work.
  • Understands payroll and HR process workflow and uses systems to hire, transfer, terminate, and pay employees.
  • Maintains purchasing workflow internal controls and understands accounts payable processes.
  • Ensures cost and cost adjustments are reviewed for accuracy to meet accounting rules.
  • Reviews forecast and budget issues with cost reports for proper recognition.
