Job summary

Fluence in Arlington, VA is seeking a Portfolio Finance Support specialist to assist Finance Managers with ERP project setups, budgets, and purchasing transactions for large Americas projects. You will coordinate with Project Managers, maintain accurate documentation, and help with claims, invoicing, and audits, leveraging SAP S/4HANA and advanced Excel.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in a financial role for large projects.
• BS in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration or related experience.
• Ability to work US-based working hours.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Working knowledge of project accounting methods.
• Working knowledge of project related activities.
• Organized and detail-oriented.
• Solid time-management skills.
• Strong ability to multi-task.
• Preferred SAP S/4 HANA and Primavera Unifier experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide transactional SAP support including set-up of new projects and resource assignments.
• Provide SAP maintenance for project budgets, sales orders and milestone billings.
• Support the purchase order process including purchase requisition initiation, processing goods receipts and prepayments, and close coordination with accounts payable and external vendors.
• Assist in shipping processes (maintaining commercial invoices and proof of delivery).
• Assist in gathering information to support claims, liquidated damages, change orders, etc.
• Provide ad-hoc reconciliations, reporting and analysis.
• Assist in tax assessment process.
• Assist in inventory reconciliation.
