Qualifications

• Minimum 15+ years in construction management or equivalent leadership roles.

We are working with a highly respected New York City General Contractor / Construction Manager with a long-standing reputation for delivering complex large-scale high-rise residential and mixed-use developments across Manhattan and the Bronx.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced Project Executive to take ownership of a portfolio of active high-rise projects, driving delivery performance, financial control, and execution standards across multiple jobs simultaneously.

This is a hands-on executive role within a builder-led organization, ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced urban construction environments and takes pride in delivering complex projects in New York City.

The Opportunity

This role sits at the intersection of executive leadership and active project delivery.

You will be responsible for overseeing multiple concurrent high-rise projects, providing strategic direction and operational control while supporting Senior Project Managers and field leadership teams across all active jobs.

You will act as a key driver of performance, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to a consistently high standard of execution across the portfolio.

This is not a passive oversight role. It is a builder’s executive position requiring strong commercial judgement, field awareness, and the ability to influence outcomes across multiple complex projects.

Multi-Project Delivery Leadership

• Oversee several active ground-up high-rise projects concurrently
• Provide direct leadership and support to Senior Project Managers and field teams
• Align execution strategy across all projects to ensure consistent delivery standards
• Full responsibility for project financial performance across assigned portfolio
• Drive forecasting accuracy, cost control, and margin protection
• Review and approve major subcontract awards, procurement strategy, and change order exposure
• Maintain strong commercial discipline across all active projects
• Ensure schedule integrity across multiple projects
• Oversee CPM schedules, sequencing strategies, and recovery planning where required
• Hold teams accountable for milestone delivery and turnover targets
• Identify and manage project and portfolio risk
• Ensure consistent application of company standards across all sites
• Support resolution of commercial, contractual, and operational issues
• Mentor and develop Senior Project Managers and project teamsSupport resource allocation across multiple live projects
• Drive a culture of accountability, ownership, and execution excellence
• Act as senior point of contact for project stakeholders and ownership groups
• Lead executive reporting on project performance across portfolio
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and design and consultant teams
• 15+ years construction management experience
• Proven experience at Senior Project Manager or Project Executive level
• GC or Construction Manager at-risk background required
• Strong track record delivering ground-up high-rise projects valued at $50M+
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects
• Strong commercial capability with deep understanding of cost, contracts, and risk
• Proven ability to lead and influence senior project teams
