Drywall Construction Recruitment Consultant at Lumicity

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze blueprints, construction plans, and other documentation to prepare accurate drywall estimates.
• Perform material takeoffs and labor calculations for drywall, metal framing, taping, insulation, and related scopes.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather necessary pricing information.
• Develop detailed and organized proposals for bid submissions.
• Track project costs and maintain historical cost data for future estimating use.
• Identify potential risks and discrepancies in plans and specifications.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and conduct site visits as necessary.
• Support project handoff to operations, including budget preparation and scope clarification.
• Stay updated on industry trends, pricing, and building codes.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a drywall estimator or in a similar construction estimating role.
• Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., On-Screen Takeoff, PlanSwift, Bluebeam) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong knowledge of construction drawings and drywall systems.
• Excellent mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously.
• High school diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in construction management or a related field is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to walk job sites and climb ladders if necessary.
• Must be able to sit or stand for long periods while reviewing plans and performing takeoffs.
