Job summary

RTX is seeking a Project Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 in Windsor Locks, CT. You will support the EACS SDE Team with project execution, coordinate SRI responses, and apply project management practices across cross‑functional groups.

You will use Microsoft Office tools for reporting and documentation, gain exposure to regulatory and quality requirements, and develop fundamentals in engineering problem solving through hands‑on assignments and collaborative reviews.

Qualifications

  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co‑op session.
  • Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

  • Support the EACS SDE Team, assisting in project execution and coordination.
  • Manage Supplier Request for Information (SRI) processes, ensuring timely responses and accurate data tracking.
  • Apply Project Management principles, including action tracking, status reporting, task monitoring, and risk management.
  • Facilitate professional meetings, ensuring clear communication and alignment across teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, solving challenges and driving project progress.
  • Maintain project plans, status updates, and action items, ensuring efficiency and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, for documentation and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies, supporting quality assurance and regulatory requirements.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
