Job summary

RTX in Rockford, IL offers a full-time co-op exploring aerospace product lines and field support. You will work Monday–Friday, interacting with customers and assisting in testing, documentation, and assembly tasks, while gaining professional workplace experience.

This internship targets students pursuing ME/EE/AE degrees with MATLAB or CAD skills, including Creo, SolidWorks, or NX. Relocation eligibility and a competitive salary are part of the program.

Qualifications

• Interact with customers and provide support to them and their products in the field.

What You Will Do

Immerse yourself in a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session, that will run January - July/August (including the Spring semester; it is expected students will take a semester off from coursework to fully engage with this working mentorship opportunity).

Qualifications You Must Have

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
• Experience with MATLAB or Computer Aided Design (CAD) software such as Creo, SolidWorks, and/or NX

Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and/or Outlook)
• Experience managing projects
• Experience working on cross-functional teams
• A minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co-op session
• Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
