Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. What You Will Do
  • Collaborate with engineering team in the resolution of mechanical engineering problems of difficult and complex scope, seeking a balanced system solution, ensuring engineering excellence, all with supervisor oversight.
  • Partner with engineering team to provide design intent to Product Definition for creation of drawings and models.
  • Work with engineering team to generate development hardware design solutions that meet the objectives of the test engines and facilitate the delivery of the development hardware to the test engines on schedule.
  • Engage with Operations to address production issues and evaluate hardware nonconformances to facilitate the timely delivery of production hardware.

Qualifications

Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship session.

Must have a minimum of 30 hours of credit by the start of the internship session.

Minimum 3.0 Cumulative GPA

Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects

We Prefer Experience using computer aided design (CAD) software such as NX, SolidWorks, Creo, Fusion 360, or equivalent.

Experience with mechanical hardware documentation or drawing standards.

Experience delivering presentations, writing reports or documentation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams

Experience with Microsoft Office products, Teamcenter, Unigraphics NX, ANSYS, and classical methods of analysis.

Experience working in a fast-paced environment demonstrating attention to detail and deadlines.

Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience.

What We Offer

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
