Job summary

Atkinson Construction seeks a Project Engineer to provide administrative and technical services across scheduling, cost engineering, subcontract coordination, and general project administration on heavy civil projects. You will work with project managers, superintendents, and craft personnel to keep work progressing safely and efficiently.

The role emphasizes proactive communication, timely information flow, accurate budgeting, and attention to site conditions.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in engineering, construction management, or related discipline; or similar field or equivalent work experience.
• Strong initiative, independence, personal responsibility, and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Pursue safety training and embrace Atkinson safety culture.
• Maintain relationships with craft personnel, inspectors, subcontractors, vendors, and project team.
• Support scheduling, cost engineering, subcontract coordination, and project administration.
• Track quantities, budgets, forecasts, and reporting; assist with change orders and requisitions.
• Communicate clearly and concisely; respond to inquiries promptly and accurately.
