Guy F. Atkinson Construction, LLC is seeking a Project Engineer to provide scheduling, cost engineering, subcontract coordination, and general project administration for heavy civil projects.

You will work with project managers and superintendents to oversee sections of projects on active construction sites, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency. • Undergraduate degree in engineering, construction management, or related discipline.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience on commercial or heavy civil construction projects from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Actively pursue and engage in safety training to learn and embrace the Atkinson safety culture.
• Participate in the TRACK process; attend daily / weekly meetings and field inspections.
• Maintain good working relationships with craft personnel, inspectors, subcontractors, vendors, and project team.
• Stay ahead of the crew's needs and ensure efficiency in work.
• Prioritize daily tasks by deadlines and procurement lead times.
• Provide prompt, accurate information, notices, and requests to agencies and suppliers.
• Communicate clearly and concisely in a grammatically correct and unbiased manner.
• Investigate issues, ask thoughtful questions, and propose solutions.
• Beat the estimated budget and track budgets/forecasts.
• Support change orders and requisitions with documentation.
