Job summary

Guy F. Atkinson Construction, LLC, a leading heavy civil contractor, seeks a Project Manager to be the principal company representative on site and oversee full project scope.

You will create plans, manage safety culture, control budget and schedule, and coordinate with stakeholders to deliver quality outcomes on complex infrastructure projects.

This role requires strong leadership, decisive decision-making, and a customer-focused mindset to maintain relationships and win new work.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8-10 years of engineering and general contracting experience on $30M to $250M+ complex, self-perform, heavy-civil construction projects.
• Undergraduate degree in engineering, construction management, or related discipline; or similar field or equivalent work experience.
• High degree of initiative, independence, personal responsibility, and integrity.
• Willingness to speak up, listen up, ask open-ended questions, and learn from others.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Alignment to standards of excellence: self-motivated, results-oriented, adaptable, team player, accountable, ethical, innovative, resilient, builds relationships and teams.

Responsibilities

• Champion and influence Atkinson's Safety Culture.
• Develop project plans outlining tasks, timelines, and resources.
• Manage risk and monitor progress against schedule and budget.
• Communicate with project stakeholders and ensure client relations.
• Revenue tracking and reporting; accurate estimated costs to complete and future forecasting.
• Contribute to winning new work including estimating, proposals, and presentations.
