Job summary

DeSimone Consulting Engineering is seeking a Project Engineer in Overland Park, KS to support structural design from concept to construction. You will engage with steel and concrete systems, use STAAD.Pro, RAM, ABAQUS, AutoCAD and Revit, and collaborate with project teams to deliver technically sound solutions on time.

You will prepare calculations, reviews, and construction documents, while coordinating with clients and contractors.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering with 3+ years of structural design experience.
Experience with STAAD Pro, RAM, ABAQUS, AutoCAD and Revit for building/industrial structures.
Knowledge of local and national codes and familiarity with steel/concrete design.
PE license preferred and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Perform structural analysis and design using industry software for diverse projects.
Prepare calculations, reports, and construction documents compliant with codes.
Coordinate with project managers, architects, and contractors to ensure successful delivery.
Review drawings and manage documentation, quality control, and design decisions.
Support project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and client communications.
Assist with technical mentoring and contribute to continuous improvement.
