Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space in Colorado seeks a seasoned project manager to lead engineering programs within the LE2 Systems Engineering Directorate. You will plan scope, schedule, cost and performance, and ensure EVMS compliance with contract requirements.

Join a team delivering critical space systems that advance national security and technology. US Citizenship with Top Secret clearance eligibility is required; experience with MS Project and data reporting is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Understanding of project management and/or earned value management.
• Experience with planning tools including Microsoft Project.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite applications.
• Familiarity with data analysis, metrics collection, and reporting.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop internal customer relationships.
• US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering projects.
• Plan and oversee detailed engineering scope; review design for compliance with standards and requirements.
• Coordinate activities related to technical developments, scheduling and resolving design/test problems.
• Manage Earned Value Management controls to ensure timely execution and forecasts to completion.
• Report status to program management and stakeholders.

Coordinates planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering projects within the LE2 Systems Engineering Directorate. Plans and oversees detailed engineering scope; reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems. Manages all Earned Value Management controls to ensure timely execution, updated status and continued forecasts to completion. Statuses project scope and progress to program management, customer stakeholders and external/internal reviewers.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Understanding of project management and/or earned value management
• Experience with planning tools including Microsoft Project
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite applications.
• Familiarity with data analysis, metrics collection, and reporting
• Candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong internal customer relationships.
• Candidate must be a US Citizen with with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance

Desired Skills

• Demonstrated experience in project management and execution including: schedule development, resource management, budget management, scope management, progress tracking and reporting, and analysis of metrics
• Prior CAM/EVMS experience
• Proficiency with MS Project
• Experience with OpenPlan
• Ability to build reports utilizing Tableau
• Self-starter with a positive attitude and strong communication skills
• Experience developing and/or reviewing Basis Of Estimate (BOEs) in support of contract modifications or impact assessments
• Experience managing and/or negotiating contract proposals
• Active security clearance
• Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $118000.00 - $219100.00

• For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
