Job summary

Wohlsen Construction is seeking a Project Engineer to support its Project Team and help keep construction projects on schedule. This role offers hands-on experience with submittals, RFIs, documentation, and coordination with clients and subcontractors.

You will assist in developing project schedules, maintain accurate project files, monitor draws and change orders, and participate in safety inspections throughout project lifecycles.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction technology, engineering, or related disciplines, or equivalent construction experience.
  • Familiarity with scheduling software such as Primavera, MS Project, and CMiC is a plus.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, review, and process Submittal and RFI documentation, ensuring timely distribution to partners.
  • Record meeting minutes and memos, and format correspondence for clients, vendors, and subs.
  • Coordinate bid package process to ensure comprehensive quote coverage.
  • Assist in preparing, distributing, and monitoring project billings (draws).
  • Maintain accurate project files, logs for change orders, permits, submittals, and RFIs.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop and update project schedules and timelines.
  • Attend project meetings and contribute to effective team communication.
  • Maintain close-out documents, including O&M manuals, and support safety program compliance.

Education

Bachelor's degree in construction technology, engineering, or related disciplines
