Job summary

Wohlsen Construction seeks a Project Engineer to support project teams and ensure smooth, on-schedule execution of construction projects.

You will manage submittals, RFIs, meetings, and correspondence while coordinating bid packages and drawings, with emphasis on maintaining project files and safety compliance. This role offers a path toward Project Management and leadership opportunities within the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in construction technology, engineering, or related field.
• Familiarity with scheduling software: Primavera, MS Project, Timberline, CMiC, and related tools.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Collect, review, and process Submittal and RF I project documentation with timely distribution to partners.
• Compose meeting minutes, interoffice memos, and format correspondence for clients, vendors, subcontractors, and government agencies.
• Coordinate and monitor the bid package process to ensure comprehensive quote coverage.
• Assist in preparing, distributing, and monitoring project billings (draws) from start to finish.
• Activate and maintain accurate project files, including logs for change orders, permits, submittals, RFIs, etc.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop, monitor, and update project schedules and timelines.
• Attend project meetings and contribute to effective communication and collaboration.
• Maintain close-out documents for project completion, including O&M manuals.
• Uphold safety program adherence and participate in safety inspections.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in construction technology, Engineering, or related disciplines, or equivalent experience in the construction industry
