Job summary

Clark Construction Group, LLC is seeking a Project Engineer in McLean, VA to join a project team responsible for all technical and engineering aspects from planning through turnover. You will coordinate daily with clients, trade partners, engineers, architects, and field staff to ensure accuracy, resource alignment, and quality across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge of scheduling, cost engineering and subcontract coordination.
• Ability to read drawings and specifications.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Project Managers in purchasing activities including scoping and take-offs.
• Prepare and forward submittals; confirm submittal complies with plans/specs.
• Support the development and updating of the project schedule and subcontractor detail schedules.
• Play a lead role in the development of project plans.
• Monitor and expedite material deliveries ensuring all deliveries conform with the project schedule.
• Review change proposals from trade partners and negotiate as appropriate.
• Draft change orders. Solicit prices from subcontractors and suppliers. Perform scope take-off and estimate costs.
• Lead close out of project; includes assembling manuals and other warranties for turnover to owner and preparation final payment documents for subcontractors.
