Job summary

Clark Careers in Washington, DC seeks a Project Engineer to join our project team responsible for all technical and engineering aspects from planning through turnover. You will coordinate daily with clients, trade partners, engineers, architects, and our crew, and lead scheduling, submittals, and cost control.

The role requires 2+ years in construction engineering, strong reading of drawings, proficiency with MS Office and Google Workspace, and a hands-on, safety-conscious mindset.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering or related field.
• 2+ years experience in an engineer/project engineer in construction.
• Ability to read drawings and specs.
• Proficiency with MS Office and Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily between clients, trade partners, engineers, architects, and our crew.
• Support project scheduling and submittals.
• Lead development of project plans.
• Monitor material deliveries and ensure schedule alignment.
• Review change proposals and negotiate.
• Draft change orders and manage document control.
• Lead project close-out and turnover documents.
• Develop and lead training sessions for team and trade partners.
