Job summary

Clark Construction Group is seeking a Project Engineer to join a project team responsible for all technical and engineering aspects, coordinating with clients, trade partners, engineers, architects, and staff. You will plan, schedule, predict, and manage all technical tasks to ensure accuracy, proper resources, and quality through the project lifecycle.

This is a hands-on role on active construction sites with field and office duties.

Qualifications

• Engineering/architecture/construction management degree or equivalent experience
• 2+ years in engineer/project engineer or similar role in construction
• Knowledge of scheduling, cost engineering, subcontract coordination, and admin
• Ability reading drawings and specifications
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
• Excellent written and verbal communication

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Project Managers in purchasing activities incl. scoping and take-offs
• Prepare/submittals and ensure compliance with plans/specs
• Support schedule development and subcontractor detail schedules
• Lead development of project plans
• Monitor material deliveries and align with schedule
• Review change proposals and negotiate with trade partners
• Coordinate drawings with PM and Superintendent
• Draft change orders and perform scope take-offs/cost estimates
• Lead project closeout and turnover documentation
• Develop and lead training for team and trade partners
• Own document management applications
• Cultivate industry relationships to bring opportunities
• Attract and recruit top talent to Clark
• Exceed stakeholder expectations by anticipating needs
