Job summary

Mennel Milling Company in Toledo, OH is seeking a Project Engineer to lead capital and continuous improvement projects across the plant. You will partner with operations, maintenance, safety, and quality teams to deliver reliable, compliant solutions.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering, 5–10 years in manufacturing, and experience with GMPs, OSHA, and capital project lifecycle from concept to startup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or Agricultural) or related field.
• 5–10 years of engineering experience in a continuous manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing capital projects from concept through startup.
• Food manufacturing experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of GMPs, food safety, OSHA, and EPA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital and continuous improvement projects from concept through startup at the Toledo facility.
• Provide engineering support to operations and maintenance teams.
• Develop equipment specs, scopes, layouts, cost estimates, and procurement packages.
• Coordinate contractors, vendors, and internal teams during project execution.
• Ensure projects comply with standards and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain project documentation and regular updates to leadership.
