Job summary

Fresh Mark, Inc. in Massillon, OH is seeking a Plant Engineer to lead capital projects from concept to closure, optimizing equipment, processes, and uptime. You will collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, and Quality to ensure safety, compliance, and efficiency across the plant.

The role requires a BS in engineering and hands-on PM experience, with preferred background in food/beverage/pharma industries. Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline.
• Demonstrated Project Management experience as a hands-on project manager
• Experience in food, beverage or pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
• Understanding of manufacturing process attributes such as quality, yield, and downtime.
• Working knowledge of 2D AutoCAD and Microsoft Suite.
• Basic understanding of ISO 9000 design requirements.
• Proven track record of safe work habits and promoting a safe workplace.
• Strong leadership, organizational planning, teamwork, analytical reasoning, and adaptability.
• Strong MS Office skills in Excel and Word.
• Clear written and oral communication, strong presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Operations and Maintenance to develop annual capital plans.
• Lead projects from action plan to execution, ensuring scope, cost, and schedule.
• Minimize plant downtime and ensure on-time, on-budget project delivery with quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Assist in selecting and validating new equipment aligned with operations and regulatory needs.
• Engineer, design, optimize, analyze equipment and processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Assess vendors' competence, capabilities, and financial status.
• Lead weekly project update meetings with cross-functional team members.
