Job summary

Mennel Milling Company seeks a Lead Process Engineer to drive manufacturing process improvements at the Martel Bakery Mix facility. You will partner with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and R&D to optimize performance, ensure product quality, and reduce waste while leading data-driven improvements.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, mentoring, and the integration of process controls, SOPs, and training programs within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Food manufacturing experience and batch-processingpreferred.
• Proven success in troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead process engineering for bakery mix manufacturing, improving quality and cost.
• Analyze process data to boost throughput, yield, and reliability.
• Identify root causes and drive structured problem solving.
• Define operating ranges, centerlines, and standard work procedures.
• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, R&D, and Engineering.
• Support capital projects, equipment commissioning, and startup activities.
