Job summary

The Mennel Milling Company is seeking a Project Engineer to lead capital projects across the Newton facility, including flour milling, packaging, and utilities. The role supports operations, safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives throughout project lifecycles.

You will collaborate with operations, maintenance, QA, R&D, and vendors to ensure on-time delivery, cost control, and compliance with food safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field preferred.
• 5–10 years of experience in a continuous manufacturing environment (food manufacturing preferred).
• Experience managing multiple projects and capital initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital projects from concept through startup, including scope, budget, schedule, procurement, and closeout.
• Provide day-to-day technical support to operations and maintenance.
• Coordinate contractors, vendors, and engineering firms during project execution.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, food safety standards, OSHA, and building codes.
• Maintain project documentation and provide regular updates to leadership.
