Job summary

Rudolph & Sletten, a Tutor Perini Company, is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Menlo Park office, CA. The role supports the Project Manager and Superintendent with organizing, scheduling, and documenting construction activities across projects in California.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management with at least one year of hands-on experience, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with Procore or similar construction software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management is required.
• Minimum one year of experience in the field or related area.
• Strong Excel computer skills with MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Attend weekly meetings and transcribe detailed meeting minutes clearly and accurately.
• Inspect construction site daily and coordinate with subcontractors for deliveries.
• Review designs and drawings for installation of materials and qualifications.
• Review submittals and shop drawings for contract-document compliance.
• Research and resolve drawing interpretation issues and initiate RFIs as needed.
• Process RFIs and review responses.
• Understand the PCO process and assist with change orders.
• Manage distribution routing for submittals, RFIs, close-out, and other documents.
• Coordinate submittals between subcontractors.
• Prepare field design changes and as-built drawings when required.
• Submit status reports, punch lists, and related documents to supervisors.
