Job summary

Tri-State General Contractors is seeking a Project Engineer to support the Project Manager through all phases of commercial construction projects. You will manage extensive documentation and coordinate RFIs, submittals, procurement, and subcontractor compliance to keep projects on track.

With 3+ years in the field, you will contribute to budgeting, cost tracking, change orders, and invoicing, while supporting scheduling and procurement efforts to meet milestones.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Project Engineer or similar in commercial construction.
• Strong knowledge of drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, procurement, and change management.
• Experience with budgeting, cost tracking, and subcontract administration.
• Proficiency in ACC, Procore, Bluebeam, MS Office, and construction management software.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager through all phases of construction projects.
• Manage project documentation: drawings, specs, submittals, RFIs, permits, contracts.
• Coordinate RFIs, submittals, procurement, and subcontractor compliance.
• Assist with budgeting, cost tracking, change orders, and invoicing.
• Support scheduling, milestone tracking, and procurement to maintain timelines.
• Participate in meetings with owners, architects, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
• Monitor progress and identify schedule, cost, or coordination issues.
• Assist with quality control, safety docs, inspections, punch lists, closeout activities.
