Job summary

Tri-State General Contractors is seeking a seasoned Project Manager/Estimator to lead commercial construction projects from preconstruction to closeout. You will develop schedules and budgets, coordinate subcontractors, monitor cost controls, and ensure safety and quality across multi-million dollar projects.

The role requires deep knowledge of drawings, specs, contracts, and field practices, with proficiency in estimating tools and MS Office to deliver on-time, on-budget results.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in construction estimating or a related commercial construction role.
• Experience managing commercial construction projects with budgets of $5 million or greater.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, contracts, project schedules, and construction practices.
• Experience managing project budgets, cost controls, change orders, pay applications, and subcontractor administration.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring safety, schedule, budget, and quality.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and project teams.
• Oversee project financials including budgets, cost tracking, pay apps, change orders, and invoices.
• Review project documents to ensure compliance and identify risks or issues.
• Lead project communication with owners, architects, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor progress and address schedule, budget, quality, and operational challenges.
• Manage subcontractor buyouts, procurement, contract administration, and project documentation.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and project requirements.
• Oversee closeout activities and client turnover.
