Innova Solutions is hiring a Project Engineer/IPT Lead in Anaheim, CA (onsite) for a full-time contract role. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams in the proposal, design, development, and delivery of next-gen products, interfacing with Program Management to ensure technical, cost, and schedule goals are met.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in product development for power systems or related electro-mechanical assemblies, with leadership experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Engineering, or Mathematics/CS required.
• 4+ years of relevant experience or 1 year leadership experience, or 10+ years without degree.
• Experience with power systems or related electro-mechanical assemblies.
• Experience in temperature, humidity, shock and vibration testing and certification.
• Experience with product lifecycle management and ERP tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-disciplined engineering teams in proposal, design, development, and delivery of next-gen products.

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Project Engineer / IPT Lead .

Position Type: Full-time Contract, Possible Contract to Hire
Duration: 06-12months
Location: Anaheim, CA 92805 (Onsite)

As a Project Engineer / IPT Lead , you will:

• This position is for a Project Engineer / IPT Lead leading Columbia Development Programs within the MPS Engineering organization.
• The role is responsible for leading multi-disciplined engineering teams in the proposal, design, development, and delivery of next-generation products.
• As an integral part of our fast-paced environment, the ideal candidate is a key decision maker, leader, mentor and motivator to their engineering team.

Essential Functions:

• Key interface between the Engineering team and Program Management departments
• Ensures all technical performance, cost and schedule goals on the program are met
• Acting as an advisor to senior management and customers on advanced technical studies and/or applications
• Identifying and managing program technical risks
• Establishing schedule, resource, budget, and tool requirements for tasks
• Ensuring engineering processes are followed on projects

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Effective presentation and communication skills
• Technical master’s degree (i.e., MSEE, MSCS, MSSE, etc.)
• Experience in the use of Product Development Process and methodologies ISO 9001 compliant processes)
• Agile Development Methodology (HW/SW)

Ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor’s Degree (Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering, or Mathematics, Computer Science) and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience, inclusive of 1 year of leadership experience,
• or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience,
• Or in lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
• 4+ years’ experience and knowledge in developing, proposing, managing, implementing, testing products and system solutions in power systems or related including:
• Naval power or power conversion systems
• Military production products with complex electro-mechanical assemblies
• Production product lifecycle management
• 4+ years’ experience in temperature, humidity, shock and vibration testing and certification
• 1+ year experience leadership and direct participation in technical proposal development, cost estimation and manpower planning
• Previous DOD engineering development experience
• Requirements analysis and definition experience
• EVM/CAM experience
• 2+ years of experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools
• 2+ years of experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools
• Experience with leading software engineering projects

This position is only open to applicants who can be engaged on a W-2 basis. 1099 contractors and Corp-to-Corp arrangements will not be considered for this position.

Pay Range*: Between $70- $73 per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
