Job summary

Innova Solutions is seeking a Project Engineer / IPT Lead for an onsite, full-time contract in Anaheim, CA. The role leads Columbia Development Programs within the MPS Engineering organization and requires multi-disciplinary leadership in proposal, design, development, and delivery of power systems and related electro-mechanical assemblies.

The ideal candidate has a technical master's or equivalent experience, strong leadership, and hands-on experience with PLM/ERP tools, EVM/CAM, and ISO 9001

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering, or Mathematics/CS with 6+ years of related experience or 4+ years with a graduate degree; or 10+ years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
• 4+ years' experience in power systems or related electro-mechanical assemblies; naval power or power conversion experience; production lifecycle management.
• 2+ years' experience with PLM and ERP tools; leadership in technical proposal development and cost estimation.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-disciplinary engineering teams in proposal, design, development and delivery of next-generation products.
• Interface between Engineering and Program Management to ensure technical performance, cost and schedule goals.
• Identify and manage program technical risks; establish schedules, resources, budgets, and tool requirements.
• Ensure engineering processes are followed on projects; mentor and motivate the team.

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Project Engineer / IPT Lead.

Position Type: Full-time Contract, Possible Contract to Hire
Duration: 06-12months
Location: Anaheim, CA 92805 (Onsite)

As a Project Engineer / IPT Lead, you will:

• This position is for a Project Engineer / IPT Lead leading Columbia Development Programs within the MPS Engineering organization.
• The role is responsible for leading multi-disciplined engineering teams in the proposal, design, development, and delivery of next-generation products.
• As an integral part of our fast-paced environment, the ideal candidate is a key decision maker, leader, mentor and motivator to their engineering team.

Essential Functions

• Key interface between the Engineering team and Program Management departments
• Ensures all technical performance, cost and schedule goals on the program are met
• Acting as an advisor to senior management and customers on advanced technical studies and/or applications
• Identifying and managing program technical risks
• Establishing schedule, resource, budget, and tool requirements for tasks
• Ensuring engineering processes are followed on projects

Preferred Additional Skills

• Effective presentation and communication skills
• Technical master's degree (i.e., MSEE, MSCS, MSSE, etc.)
• Experience in the use of Product Development Process and methodologies ISO 9001 compliant processes)
• Agile Development Methodology (HW/SW)

Ideal candidate will have

• Bachelor's Degree (Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering, or Mathematics, Computer Science) and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience, inclusive of 1 year of leadership experience,
• or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience,
• Or in lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
• 4+ years' experience and knowledge in developing, proposing, managing, implementing, testing products and system solutions in power systems or related including:
• Naval power or power conversion systems
• Military production products with complex electro-mechanical assemblies
• Production product lifecycle management
• 4+ years' experience in temperature, humidity, shock and vibration testing and certification
• 1+ year experience leadership and direct participation in technical proposal development, cost estimation and manpower planning
• Previous DOD engineering development experience
• Requirements analysis and definition experience
• EVM/CAM experience
• 2+ years of experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools
• 2+ years of experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools
• Experience with leading software engineering projects

This position is only open to applicants who can be engaged on a W-2 basis. 1099 contractors and Corp-to-Corp arrangements will not be considered for this position.

Pay Range and Benefits

Pay Range*: Between $70- $73 per hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
