Job summary

Tyson Foods in Springdale, AR is seeking an Engineer III to conceptualize new projects, prepare estimates, develop layouts, and create project schedules aligned with financial viability.

You will collaborate across production facilities and the corporate office with safety, operations, finance, FSQA, maintenance, engineering and environmental services to deliver reliable throughputs and product quality, while driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering or equivalent engineering experience.
• 5+ years’ applicable engineering experience in the food industry; Beef/Pork food processing experience preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities; proficient in SAP or PM software; CAD skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 75%.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize new projects, prepare project estimates and develop layouts.
• Create project schedules and collaborate with the business to assess financial viability.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams across facilities and corporate offices.
• Generate specifications and make data-based decisions to improve throughput, quality, and functionality.
• Engage safety, operations, finance, FSQA, maintenance, and environmental services throughout project phases.
