Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a Project Engineer IV to drive fresh meats processing design and capital project execution from concept through startup. You will manage scope, timelines, budgets, and vendor coordination across multiple facilities, with heavy interaction with business leaders and contractors.

The role requires 7+ years in food-industry engineering, strong MS Office and CAD tools, and 50–75% travel. Relocation to Springdale, AR is available; sponsorship not offered.

Qualifications

• Education: B.S. in Engineering or equivalent; preferably Industrial, Mechanical, or Process Engineering.
• Experience: 7+ years in engineering in the food industry; beef manufacturing experience preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office; experience with AutoCAD, Revit, SAP, Procore, Anaplan a plus.
• Strong teamwork, customer service orientation, and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to travel 50–75% depending on project location and complexity.

Responsibilities

• Manage capital projects from conception through execution using the stage-gate process.
• Lead meetings with stakeholders and support members; review progress and update schedules.
• Develop and update project schedules; monitor budgets and purchase requisitions.
• Review contracts, coordinate FATs, and oversee equipment factory acceptance tests.
