Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking an Engineer IV for Prepared Foods in the Saint Joseph, Missouri area to lead capital project delivery. You will coordinate day-to-day execution, manage budgets, schedules, and plant layouts, and collaborate with Business Units, R&D, Food Safety, and Manufacturing to improve production capabilities.

The role requires 8+ years of engineering experience (5+ in food processing), a bachelor's degree in engineering, and strong project management, communication, and leadership

Qualifications

Accredited bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
8+ years engineering experience with 5+ years in food processing preferred.
Willingness to travel ~50% of the time.
Strong project management and cross-functional coordination skills.

Responsibilities

Coordinate day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of large capital projects.
Act as project manager on assigned projects or manage multiple projects.
Collaborate with Business Units, R&D, Food Safety and Manufacturing to execute improvements.
Manage outside engineering and construction resources and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
Establish and coordinate policies, standards, and practices that support company objectives.
