Job summary

GAF is seeking a Project Engineer to maintain excellence in developing, executing and controlling assigned projects within our manufacturing facilities. You will apply engineering techniques to analyze construction of new facilities and enhancements, driving safe, cost-effective improvements while coordinating with maintenance and production teams.

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in engineering and at least 3 years of related experience, with AutoCAD proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with 3+ years of demonstrated manufacturing experience.
• Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering degree preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of engineering fundamentals and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify engineering problems or opportunities and apply technical expertise to develop and present feasible solutions.
• Own engineering/efficiency projects from conception to completion, partnering with maintenance and production teams to solve issues.
• Coordinate with contractor and Company representatives to complete projects efficiently without production delays.
• Develop detailed justifications for capital expenditures and communicate them at multiple levels within the organization.
