Job summary

DPR Construction in Louisiana is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer who supports the successful delivery of construction projects. You will collaborate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure requirements, timelines, and quality standards are met, with hands-on field presence.

You will review drawings and submittals, assist with schedules and budgets, and help implement QA and safety protocols across project phases while pursuing continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in CM/engineering/architecture or related field.
• 0–4 years of experience in construction engineering or related field.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification preferred; completion within 6 months of hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Assists in reviewing construction drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure accuracy and compliance with project goals.
• Co-ordinates with project managers and project teams to address standard technical questions and resolve general project issues.
• Monitors standard project schedules and budgets, tracks labor productivity, and reports variances for corrective actions.
• Supports the implementation of standard quality assurance and safety protocols throughout all project phases.
• Prepares and maintains project documentation, including progress reports and technical records.
