Baker Group seeks a Project Engineer to support Project Managers in delivering construction and renovation projects. You will assist with design input, material selection, estimating, and the preparation of proposals, scopes, and contracts.

Qualifications

• 4-year Engineering or Construction Management degree with 0–1 year experience (internships included).
• Project Engineer II requires 4-year degree with 1–4 years experience (internships included).
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide sales and business development support to build client relationships, including assisting with design, material selection, estimating and proposals.
• Participate in planning and formulation to achieve required results for the business unit.
• Assist with day-to-day project coordination, budgets, value engineering, quality controls, sequencing, purchasing, procurement, change orders and contractor approvals.
• Assist with procuring subcontractors and monitoring their work quality and schedule.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through scheduling coordination and ongoing communication.
• Attend jobsite visits and internal meetings, tracking action items and follow-up.
• Help ensure project performance complies with design and specifications.
• Develop relationships with customers and pursue long-term revenue opportunities.
• Use standard documents such as pre-proposal checklists, turnovers, subcontracts, and warranties.
• Coordinate with project managers and leaders to resolve questions and issues.
• Maintain accurate daily time and equipment reporting.
