Job summary

Baker Group is seeking a Project Engineer to provide technical support and administrative help to Project Managers and the business unit. You will assist with budgeting, procurement, and scheduling, while building client relationships and ensuring project alignment with plans and specifications.

The role involves coordinating day‑to‑day project activities, attending site visits, and maintaining effective communication with customers and the project team.

Qualifications

• 4‑year Engineering or Construction Management degree is required.
• Experience with project cost history, contract status and job overview reports.
• Knowledge of building customer relationships and coordinating with Accounting for billing and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Provide sales and business development support to build client relationships.
• Assist with day‑to‑day coordination and administration of projects including scope, budgets, vouchers, and procurement.
• Coordinate subcontractors and monitor their work quality and schedule.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through scheduling communication and progress updates.
• Attend jobsite visits and internal meetings, tracking actions and follow‑ups.
• Assist with ensuring compliance with design/specifications and pursue new business opportunities.
