Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Project Engineer 1 to join our Dallas team. The role supports construction and field execution, assisting with general management, punch lists, and self-perform work to understand the building process and JE Dunn practices.

You will work with the project team on site, learn Lean practices, and grow toward Project Engineer 2 through hands-on activity, meetings, and documentation across safety, QA/QC, scheduling, and procurement processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field.
• In lieu of the above requirements, equivalent relevant experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Participates in safety and quality plans and culture, supporting an injury-free environment.
• Participates in QA/QC planning to ensure quality for tasks.
• Assists with estimating and change management processes and tools, including quantity take-off and subcontractor proposals.
• Works on site with the project team to monitor crew size, self-perform hours, materials and equipment.
• Prepares and disseminates required documentation and attends project meetings.
