Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer 1 to support construction and field execution of projects, applying fundamentals and company standards. You’ll help with safety, QA/QC, estimating, and on-site tasks, collaborating with foremen, journeymen, and subcontractors to learn the building process.

You will participate in punch lists, inspections, and documentation, supporting project teams with progress reporting and procurement logging while developing a strong foundation

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field.
• Entry-level construction experience is acceptable.
• Knowledge of Lean process and philosophy is preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office and strong communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Participates in safety and quality plans and culture with commitment to injury-free environment.
• Supports QA/QC planning for assigned tasks to ensure quality.
• Assists with estimating, change management, and quantity take-offs.
• Provides on-site support for monitoring crew size, hours, materials, quantity and equipment.
• Documents activities through daily/weekly reports and project meetings.
• Learns and applies company best practice standards for building and construction techniques.
