Job summary

JE Dunn Construction Group is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer to support field execution and construction processes on active projects. You will participate in general construction management, QA/QC, and self-perform activities to gain a comprehensive understanding of building delivery.

You will collaborate with foremen, journeymen, superintendents, and subcontractors, while applying Lean practices and progressing through the project team path from Project Engineer 1 to Project Engineer

Qualifications

Ability to perform work accurately, completely, and in a timely manner.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Office.
Understanding of organizational structure and available resources.
Familiarity with Lean process and philosophy.
Knowledge of construction technology and fundamentals of construction management.
Understanding of self-perform work and labor productivity.
Ability to assess and optimize project productivity.
Knowledge of specific trades and scopes of work.
Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a team.

Responsibilities

Assist with general construction management and field execution tasks.
Support punch lists, safety reviews, and QA/QC planning.
Engage in estimating and change management processes including quantity take-off.
On-site collaboration with project team to monitor crew size, self-perform hours, materials, and equipment.
Prepare and disseminate project documentation and reports (daily/weekly progress, manpower, schedules, etc.).
Track shop drawings, procurement logs, and deliveries per project schedule.
