Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Project Engineer 1 to support construction and field execution on projects, applying company best practices, processes and tools. You will help manage general construction tasks, punch lists, self-perform work and learn the building process as part of JE Dunn’s project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field.
• Equivalent relevant experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Learn and participate in safety and quality plans and culture.
• Participate in QA/QC planning to ensure quality for tasks.
• Assist estimating and change management processes, including quantity take-off and subcontractor proposals.
• Work on site with project team to support monitoring crew size, self-perform hours, materials, quantity and equipment.
• Participate in punch lists, inspections, safety reviews and documentation.
• Maintain drawings and specifications with the latest information.
• Prepare and disseminate documentation; organize project meetings.
• Prepare reports: daily reports, weekly progress, manpower, schedules, equipment tracking, etc.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field
