Job summary

JE Dunn Construction’s Advanced Facilities Group is seeking a Project Engineer 1 focused on Heavy Equipment Solutions in Kansas City, MO. You will support construction execution, manage field tasks, and coordinate with the project team to ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

You will participate in punch lists, self-perform work, and reporting while applying Lean practices to improve project efficiency and collaboration with foremen, superintendents, and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field.
• Equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Participates in safety and quality plans and culture.
• Supports QA/QC planning and quality for tasks.
• Assists with estimating and change management processes.
• Works on site with project team to monitor crew, materials, and equipment.
• Prepares daily/weekly progress reports and schedules.
• Supports project closeout, punch lists, and manuals.
