JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Field Engineer to join the Advanced Facilities Group. Based in Kansas City, this role will support safety programs, collaborate with craft crews, and learn company-standard building techniques on major industrial and manufacturing projects.

The position emphasizes hands-on training, Lean methods, and teamwork across trades, foremen, and project staff, with opportunities for career growth within a national construction leader.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in construction-related field.
• “Preferred” participation in federally required training or apprenticeship.
• In lieu of formal requirements, equivalent relevant experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Actively participates in all aspects of the project-specific safety plan and culture.
• Learns and participates in safety culture to promote injury-free environments.
• Works with tools and executes self-perform work embedded with a crew.
• Learns company best practices for building techniques via hands-on training.
• Builds relationships with trades people and project team members.
• Gains understanding of company functions and project contributions.
• Learns equipment use specific to building processes.
• Collaborates with team members and demonstrates teamwork.
• Learns Lean practices and applies them daily.
• Participates in weekly work plan meetings and site practices.
