Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Field Engineer – Trade Family – Core to join our Advanced Facilities team in the Kansas City area. The role focuses on supporting project teams on industrial and manufacturing builds with hands-on field experience and Lean methodology.

Ideal candidates have a related degree or equivalent experience, a strong safety mindset, and the ability to collaborate with craftsmen, foremen, and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field preferred.
• Participation in a federally required training or apprenticeship program preferred.
• Equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
• 0–2 years construction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Actively participates in all aspects of the project-specific safety plan and culture.
• Learns and participates in all aspects of the safety culture and injury-free environment.
• Works with tools and performs self-perform work as part of a crew to complete tasks.
• Gains knowledge of company best practices and construction techniques on the job-site.
• Builds relationships and communicates effectively with trades, foremen, journeymen, superintendents and subcontractors.
• Learns company standards for equipment use in building processes and Lean practices.
• Collaborates with others and demonstrates teamwork on site.
• Participates in weekly work plans and site practices as needed.
