Job summary

McKinstry in Seattle, WA seeks a Project Engineer to support design tasks within Engineering and Design. You will help deliver drawings, calculations, and BIM outputs with quality to minimize clarifications during construction.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree (ABET-accredited), EIT preferred/required, internship or 1 year related experience, proficiency in MS Office, familiarity with Revit and other CAD/BIM tools, and knowledge of MATLAB, VBA, Python, and structural analysis software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree related to engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• EIT certification is preferred/required.
• Onsite construction experience is welcome.
• Proficiency with MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with Revit and CAD/BIM tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Documents project correspondence, issues, decisions and directions.
• Learns and follows McKinstry Engineering standards and procedures.
• Contributes to tasks on multiple projects and timelines concurrently.
• Manages own workload to deliver assigned tasks on time and in budget.
• Identifies training, coaching, and support needed to complete tasks.
