Job summary

McKinstry seeks a Project Engineer-Mechanical to join the Engineering and Design team in Seattle, WA. You will support design tasks and ensure clarity during construction, coordinating with multiple project teams to meet timelines and budgets.

The role involves learning McKinstry standards, performing calculations, drafting, and producing BIM drawings while advancing your understanding of structural design and seismic anchorage. Onsite construction experience welcomed.

Qualifications

• Internship or 1 year experience in related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required.
• Knowledge of Revit preferred; other CAD/BIM tools welcome.
• Familiarity with MATLAB, VBA, Python and structural analysis software such as Bentley, RISA, SAP 2000.
• Engineering in Training Certificate preferred; EIT required.

Responsibilities

• Documents project correspondence, issues, decisions and directions.
• Learns and follows Engineering standards and procedures.
• Contributes to tasks on multiple projects and timelines concurrently.
• Manages workload to deliver tasks on time and in budget.
• Identifies training, coaching, and support needed to complete tasks.
• Other duties as assigned.
