Job summary

JE Dunn Construction Company is seeking a Project Engineer 1 to support construction and field execution on on-site projects. You will engage in general construction management, punch list work, and self-perform activities while aligning with company standards and values.

You will participate in safety and quality initiatives, assist with estimating and change management, and help maintain project schedules, reports and documentation on active sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field.
• Equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• May require periods of travel and/or relocation.
• Must be willing to work non-traditional hours to meet project needs.
• May be exposed to extreme conditions (hot or cold).

Responsibilities

• Learn and actively participate in safety and quality plans and culture.
• Participates with QA/QC planning to ensure quality for tasks.
• Involves estimating and change management processes and tools, including quantity take-off and review of subcontractor proposals.
• Works on site with project team to support various tasks such as monitoring crew size and materials.
• Prepares documentation and disseminates information; supports project reporting.
• Supports project close-out activities and development of project manuals.
